Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association

May 07, 2009

More than 100 million people around the world have viewed amateur British singing sensation Susan Boyle on YouTube since her appearance on a televised talent show in early April. Think about what we could accomplish to educate people about sudden cardiac arrest if 100 million people watched a YouTube video about SCA!

The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association (SCAA) has launched a new public education piece, "Saving Lives from Sudden Cardiac Arrest." Please view the video, and forward this email to others asking them to join you in becoming an SCA Hero:

  • Be prepared to help someone who has collapsed.
  • Advocate for AEDs in schools, houses of worship, office buildings, police cars and other public venues.
  • Know the risk factors and seek out treatment from a cardiology specialist if they or a loved one might be at risk for SCA.

We can make a difference one person at a time, starting with you. We hope you will forward this email to your friends and family and encourage them to watch it too. SCAA's "Saving Lives from Sudden Cardiac Arrest" can be viewed on YouTube right now.

Prevention begins with education. Pass it on.
