Accreditation Statement
This meeting is provided by the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN). The American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.

Learning Outcome/ Purpose Statements for ANCC accredited activities

MCS Bootcamp: This conference is intended to provide the learner with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the care and management of patients undergoing MCS implantation.

Virtual Annual Meeting 2020: The main purpose of the AAHFN Annual Meeting is to keep nurses, nurse practitioners and other health care professionals informed of the new and latest evidence for care management strategies for patients and families living with heart failure.  

Contact Hours
Attendees may earn (up to) *22.25 contact hours by attending the meeting, reviewing posters, and completing the evaluation for the Annual Meeting sessions. An additional *8.25 contact hours may be earned by attending and evaluating the pre-meeting Pharmacology workshop and *6.75 contact hours may be earned by attending and evaluating the pre-meeting Mechanical Circulatory Support Boot Camp.

*This number is an estimate until final approval is provided by the accrediting organization.

How to Get Your Certificate 
Attendees can earn one nursing contact hour for every hour of educational time. Learners must complete an evaluation to receive contact hours. Evaluation forms should be submitted after the conference.
