Teach-Back Method Videos

These videos were developed to enhance the engagement of Heart Failure Nurses and patients with Heart Failure who are discharging from the hospital setting.  When providing education and counseling, Heart Failure Nurses can incorporate the Teach-Back Method while supporting lifestyle behavioral changes. The videos address Heart Failure Self-Care Behaviors:

• Exercise & Activity

• Symptom Recognition & Management

• Discharge & Follow-Up Management

Learning Objectives

By the end of the videotape viewing, the Heart Failure Nurse will be able to:

1. Identify and describe the fundamental components of the Teach-Back Method
2. Adopt vital elements of the Teach-Back Method into clinical practice
3. Incorporate enhanced communication skills through the use of the Teach-Back Method
