Purpose Statement
The purpose of this activity is to provide more information about new medications for heart failure patients, what not to give, polypharmacy, and algorithms to titrate.
Learner Outcomes
- Readers will understand standard HF drugs and helpful algorithms to use and titrate those medications.
- Readers will understand the two newest medications for treatment of HF; sacubitril/valsartan and ivabradine.
- Readers will learn which medications to watch out for that could be harmful for HF patients.
- Readers will understand how to help HF patients stay adherent with taking their medications.
