The purpose of this activity is to enable the participant to improve nursing care of heart failure patients by enhancing nursing knowledge and skills in performing enhanced physical assessments, interpreting lab and diagnostic test findings and caring for patients undergoing diagnostic tests.

  • To perform a focused bedside assessment.
  • Identify and interpret data from the laboratory critical to the care of patients with heart failure
  • Identify and interpret data from the echocardiography lab critical to the care of patients with heart failure
  • Identify and interpret data from the stress lab critical to the care of patients with heart failure
  • Identify and interpret data from the sleep lab critical to the care of patients with heart failure.
