EdemaYou may be started on a diuretic (water pill) if you have signs of holding on to fluid. Signs of excess fluid include swelling in your ankles, legs, or fullness in your belly. Your doctor needs to know when you need extra water pills, how often you need them, and keep track of your blood levels that can be changed by water pills.
